Introduction: In the context of rehabilitation, unlike in adult, learning in children with hemiparesis constraint induced therapy, must occur in the context of development, whereby age-appropiate skills are learned for the very first time. The efficacy of constraint induced therapy was recently compared with that of bimanual training. Results indicate that the amount of improvement is not dependent on the use of the restraint. Bimanual training may be more beneficial for improving and temporal aspects of bimanual control and for dressing, cutting food, catching a ball, dressing dolls.
