EPIDEMIOLOGY OF CEREBRAL PARAILSY
ABSTRACT:
The prevalence of cerebral palsy, a concept with a rather large definition, has not declined despite progress în the survival of very preterm infants. CP affects about 2/1000 newborns. The prevalence of CP reaches 5-8% among newborns with very low birth weight or very preterm delivery. For 85% of these infants a spasticity predominantes. 1/3 of these children do not walk before the age of five years
