INFERTILITY IN ADOPTIVE FAMILIES CASE: EXPLORING THE IMPACT AND PSYCHOSOCIAL CONSEQUENCES
Developing countries face the issue of infertility as a serious public health problem at both individual and social level. Infertility is often perceived as a “hidden” problem within the context of policies and services which focus on infant mortality and family planning. This research focuses on both quali- tative and quantitative aspects of infertile couples within adoptive families. The causes of infertility, its consequences and solutions, the effects upon their lives, the support they get, all these issues are dealt with in the present study.
The implications for the development of adoption services are also pondered upon in this article.
