DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONALITY-A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE  THEORIES OF DEVELOPMENT

ABSTRACT:

The theories of development of personality may be classified în 5 major groups: biological theories, psychodynamic theories, learning theories, cognitive theories and the social context theories. In these theories, the developmental scientists consider the development of personality as either a process thar flows smoothly or a discontinuous process, including several stages, each of these stages having a different configuration compared to the previous or the following ones. All the theories emphasize that the personality development is a dynamic process based on the interaction between the endogenic forces and the environmental ones
