ABSTRACT:
The study analyzes the situation of 273 children placed in foster care by General Direction for Social Assistence and the Child’s Rights Protection Timis and evaluated in the Department for Child and Adolescent’s Psychiatryand Neurology Timisoara.
We observed that all the children included in our study prezented different degrees of mental retardation and/or associated comorbidity.Aethiological diagnosis and neuropsychiatric management seems to be difficult due to paucity of data.
