HUMOU R – DEFENSIVE MECHANISM

ABSTRACT: 

The authors begin with the psychoanalytical paradigm and certain concepts (defense mechanisms, coping, release mechanisms) and review the steps in the research and development of these theories, in order to better understand their practical relevance in the theoretical construct foundation for group counselling and therapy for adolescents. The developmental peculiarities of the age suggest the importance of humour in everyday life, socialization and education, and also as a part of the management strategy in child and adolescent psychiatry.
